Help us diagnose Strawberry
Strawberry Diagnostics Collector gathers the logs and system information our support team needs to investigate crashes, startup problems, and other unexpected behavior. It runs as a normal desktop app on Mac or Windows, so you don't need to open a terminal.
What it collects
- Strawberry's application logs and crash reports.
- Startup, update, signature, and installed-app information.
- Operating system, hardware, memory, and available disk space.
- On Windows: crash, sleep, shutdown and security events, GPU drivers, sandbox logs, and process memory measurements during collection.
What it leaves alone
It does not copy your browser profile, chat database, cookies or saved password files. Logs and crash dumps can contain private information, including page contents and tokens held in memory. Nothing is uploaded automatically. Review the zip file before sending it through your private Strawberry support channel.
On Windows
- Open the downloaded executable and click Start. No installation, setup or administrator password is needed. Works on Windows 10 (1903 or later) and Windows 11.
- Wait a few minutes. The collector saves existing crash reports first, then automatically observes a running Strawberry or opens the installed copy to capture startup. After an unexpected exit, run the collector before reopening Strawberry yourself.
- Drag the finished report into your private support conversation, or click Show in File Explorer. Include when the problem happened in your message.
On macOS
The collector takes a couple of minutes. macOS may ask whether it can look in your Downloads folder so it can find another copy of Strawberry. If you decline, the rest of the report still works.
